In 2004, the first ever Great Texas Mud Race was held on the grounds of the Nacogdoches Expo Center.  Now, this event has evolved into the largest mud racing competition in the state of Texas, and one of the top 3 competitive mud racing events in the U.S.

For ten years the summertime mud has been torn up at the Nacogdoches Expo Center fairgrounds. Year eleven is only a week away.

I'm not from around here, and I went to my first mud race on Friday night. It was completely unlike anything I expected to see.

10 years of mud - that's a lot of mud. August 2nd and 3rd, the Great Texas Mud Race returns to the Nacogdoches Expo Center Fairgrounds featuring two nights of classes ranging from street stock to 3000 horsepower blown alcohol mud dragsters.

Kicks 105 welcomes the Great Texas Mud Race to the Nacogdoches Expo Fairgrounds this Friday and Saturday August 3rd and 4th.  The Great Texas Mud Race has evolved into one of the largest, and most competitive professional mud race competitions in the country.

Playing in the mud, ever since your childhood there's just something that attracts you to playing in the mud. Here's the event for the folks that never grew out of that.
