Gus Johnson

Gilmer's Gus Johnson will not be making the final cut to the roster of 53 for the Dallas Cowboys.  The former SFA Lumberjack was impressive in his final preseason outing Thursday night, but, according to an early report,  it wasn't enough to make the team...yet, and kind of.

In the 2nd quarter of the preseason opener for the Dallas Cowboys, Gus Johnson powered in from 5 yards out to give the 'Pokes their first touchdown of the year, and the SFA Nation beamed with pride when the Gilmer Buckeye flashed the Axe 'em, Jacks sign.

Football season has arrived! Now, when it comes to pro football and my favorite teams, Cowboys and Texans, I usually don't start watching until the regular season starts...however, this year, I will be glued to the tube when the Cowboys open preseason play Thursday night against San Diego.
