Hurricane Laura

A hurricane warning and tropical storm warning are now in effect for several counties in the Pineywoods

Galveston remains in the landfall cone for Hurricane Laura prompting a mandatory evacuation for residents of the island.

The watch has been issued for the possibility of sustained winds between 39-74 mph.

Laura is expected to slam into either Texas or Louisiana as a major Category 3 Hurricane
