Rock the Square in Downtown Tyler on Saturday night was a blast, full of music, frosty beverages, and rock solid music.  And many fans watched it on the small screen.

The Administration at Lufkin ISD is pleased to announce the hiring of Mr. George Little as the Director of the Lufkin Panther Band. Mr. Little will be replacing Mr. Scott Williams who has been the director for the past 11 years.

Wade Bowen is getting ready to release a brand new album, October 28th. Today Sean Ericson and myself get the chance to review the first single from that album titled, "When I Woke Up Today".

Central Texas has some dance halls with history behind them, like the Broken Spoke in Austin, and Gruene Hall about 45 minutes to the south. Those two spots seem to have enough history and tradition behind them to continue drawing a crowd, and they've got that cool factor that attracts both older cowboy boots and young skinny jeans.  But will other Texas dance halls last?

It's supposed to be sunny and in the Mid 70's today.  Gorgeous! This is our last chance to check out an event in the park that the Lufkin-Angelina Chamber of Commerce has been putting on throughout the month of October.  It's a beautiful day for a picnic and live music in the park!

Cody Johnson is an artist that I have had the pleasure of interviewing several times.  The earliest were during Cody's teens.  I recognized his potential early, but not like this.

One country legend will replace another as the Charlie Daniels Band takes a turn at opening up 'Monday Night Football' on ESPN next week. Daniels has reworked 'The Devil Went Down to Georgia' for the broadcast's opening theme. It appears to be a one game only engagement.
