Investigators with the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Department are looking into an apparent murder-suicide that took place on August 22.

If found guilty the accused can face a maximum of 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.

Most of the charges this week were because of drugs.

This week it was all about murder charges.

It is an ongoing battle between law enforcement and users of this highly addictive stimulant.

It was a slow week at the Nacogdoches County Jail. The daily rainy weather has kept most of us indoors.

So far in 2024, they have booked 1,013 men and 351 women into the jail.

This week two pretrial felons are in jail accused of this type of heinous crime.
