A massive search for an 85-year-old Lufkin man who had been missing since Sunday evening has come to a very sad and tragic ending.

A community prayer vigil has been set for Tuesday evening for a missing 85-year-old Lufkin man.

A statewide Silver Alert has now been issued for a Lufkin man that was reported missing Sunday evening

The Whitehouse Police Department has issued a Silver Alert for a missing 83-year-old woman.

A Silver Alert remains active for a southeast Texas man missing since Monday, September 11th.

UPDATE - As of 6:35 p.m., Mrs. Faircloth has returned to her home and she is doing fine. The Lufkin Police Department has issued a Silver Alert for an 86-year-old Lufkin woman with Alzheimer’s disease. Bonnie Faircloth left her home in the 100 block of Westchester Street sometime this afternoon in a 2002 gold Chrysler Town & Country van, license plate HNX-8183.

The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office is searching for David Lee Humphrey who is diagnosed with a Cognitive Impairment.  He is a White male, 76, 5’ 8” tall and weighs around 160 lbs.

Sadly, the search for a missing Kountze man has ended when searchers found his body in an area south of Hillister in Tyler County.

Saturday evening, the State of Texas State Operations Center issued a Silver Alert of William Gant, Sr. and as of 1 p.m. Monday, August 1st, the search continues.

UPDATE - As of 9:30 a.m., the Silver Alert has been discontinued. The Jasper County Sheriff's Office has issued a Silver Alert as they are searching for Frank Odis Ellis who is diagnosed with a cognitive impairment.

Tuesday evening, a high school basketball game between Hudson and Pineywoods Community Academy had just wrapped up at Central High School gym.  It was just after 7:30 and my son was riding with me as we made the turn onto Highway 69 heading south.
