How about those Central Heights Blue Devils!!  They outscored their two opponents at the state tourney in Round Rock 17-0 to bring home the Texas Class 3A baseball state championship.

Following a standout sophomore season as a Lady Roadrunner softball player, it was a foregone conclusion that Kaylee Parker would be continue her college playing career at a Division 1 school...it was just a question of where.

Forget the flu bug, basketball fever is widespread in Woden.  For the first time in school history, the Lady Eagles are heading to the state tournament in San Antonio.

The boys varsity basketball team at Pineywoods Community Academy in Lufkin are 23-2A district champions with a perfect 10-0 record.  On Tuesday, the team was scheduled to leave the school just after 1 p.m. to head out for their first round playoff game.

Angelina College softball player Lynsey Mitchell’s big day against Jarvis Christian College this past Friday didn’t just create a buzz among teammates. Her numbers also landed her Player of the Week honors from more than one organization.

Both Angelina College basketball teams will be in action tonight for a Wednesday doubleheader at Shands Gymnasium.  The ladies will square off against the Panola College Fillies at 5:30 p.m., while the men will take on Blinn College tipping off around 7:30 p.m.

Texas A&M has a big game coming up on national television tonight. While it's great to be in the spotlight, with the TV time outs and regular time outs, are the games too long? Some basketball games might get a whole lot shorter.
