For the past several weeks, politicians have been getting all the attention.  Now, let's focus our attention and thanks on a group of professionals who really deserve it...teachers.

Nacogdoches High School recently passed along some monthly honors to their employees.  As seen in the picture above, certificates for the Teacher of the Month and Staff Member of the Month were presented.

Every day on the Merrell in the Morning Show on KICKS 105, we team up with Whataburger to salute an area teacher.  It's just a little something extra that we like to do for the countless East Texas educators who go above and beyond every day to teach our kids.

It's not the student body that has some parents up in arms.

In the days leading up to the first day of school, many East Texas campuses were busy as teachers and employees were putting things in order for the arrival of students.

Tuesday, May 8th is National Teacher Day, and we'd like to send our appreciation to teachers from all over east Texas.
