UIL Approves Lufkin's Request to Switch Football Districts
Lufkin football will NOT be playing teams near Fort Worth for district games. The Panthers will now be travelling to the Beaumont area.

UIL – Lufkin Not in Violation for 2013 Enrollment Numbers
The Lufkin Independent School District has received written confirmation from the University Interscholastic League that the District’s submission of student enrollment figures in October 2013 was in compliance with UIL rules and policies governing the reclassification and alignment process.
UIL Sets Conference Cutoffs
A few weeks ago, school districts across the state were required to send in their projected high school enrollment numbers for the next couple of years to the University Interscholastic League of Texas. These numbers were used to come up with the cut off numbers for conferences 6A down to 1A.

This weekend, high school athletes from across the state will head to Austin to complete the Texas High School State Track Meet. The 4X100 relay team from Columbus High School in Southeast Texas earned a spot by winning the regional meet...however, that team has now been disqualified.
