Tropical Storm Cindy

Tropical Storm Cindy has come ashore near the Texas/Louisiana Border with sustained winds of 50 mph.  The storm is expected to track northward along the Sabine River before turning northeast on Friday.

6/21, 4 p.m. update Maximum sustained winds for Tropical Storm Cindy continue at 50 mph. Cindy's forecasted track remains in line with previous forecasts.

As far as Hurricane Season goes, it's been rather quiet for the eastern third of Texas over the past few years.  That could be about to change.
