Texas Parks and Wildlife will be stocking the Lakeside Park Pond with speckled trout for the kids to go after.

Day 2 of the Angelina County Fair was full of more great accomplishments by area youth. Some of them stopped by the Merrell in the Morning Show on Thursday.

Some of the winners from day one of the Angelina County Fair appeared on the Merrell in the Morning Show. Take a look at some of their award winning desserts.

Day one of the Angelina County Fair is in the books.  The winners of the various day one competitions are listed below, and has become tradition, several of those youngsters stopped by the Merrell in the Morning Show.

The Pineywoods Fair is underway at the Nacogdoches Expo and Civic Center. It continues through Sunday with the carnival midway and numerous events and fun activities.

Dr. Michael O'Guin, Principal of Nacogdoches High School (NHS), announced Monday, September 26th that NHS seniors Trishala Roy and Hunter Stephens have been named Commended Students in the 2017 National Merit Scholarship Program.

They say it's not polite to point.  In this case, it's a necessity because I'm pointing to the guy in this picture as one of the best role models a young man or woman could have.

It has become a welcome yearly tradition in which the Angelina County Leadership Tomorrow students pay a visit to the Merrell in the Morning Show on KICKS 105.

Horses, goat, lambs, and ag mechanic projects were featured on day 3 of the 67th Annual Angelina County Fair.  Several of the top students in their divisions paid a visit to the Merrell in the Morning Show.

Friday was another full day of presentations and judging at the 67th Annual Angelina County Fair at the George H. Henderson Expo Center in Lufkin.  Hogs, Heifers, Steers, and Arts & Crafts took center stage.

Major congratulations are in order for Hudson Band members Katie Vandergriff, Darren Castilaw, Trevor Curtis, and Chandler Morris (pictured above).  They were named to the All-State Band.

Youth football is big in many parts of the country.  Today, most youth leagues will allow girls who want to play "give it a try".  Well boys, be careful what you ask for.
