Target Raises Minimum Wage to $13 an Hour
As if you didn't love the magical place that lets you eat popcorn and sip on a Starbucks while you shop, Target is making us all lose our minds in the best of ways now. If you have been trying to find a new job and you aren't a fan of the starting pay for most jobs, look into working at Target. Once June comes around several Target employees are in for a raise. According to NBC effective June, 1st Target will raise their pay to $13 an hour and their goal is to raise their minimum wage to $15 by 2020. Keep in mind the federal minimum wage is $7.25 and the minimum wage in Louisiana is just as low. $7.25 an hour at 40 hours a week would earn someone roughly $15,000 a year. So just think what a huge difference $15 an hour in 2020 would make. Target is making huge strides to keep their employees happy and we are sure that a huge raise would definitely help boost morale.
