In her recent cover story in Vogue, Taylor Swift was portrayed with class and a sharp intellect. In an interview where she was zipping around from one designer to another, chatting excitedly and raving about each new collection, Swift also opened up about the iconic figures who have resonated deeply with her during her life and career.

Swift mentioned Caroline and Ethel Kennedy at the top of her list, and this Friday she’ll be in attendance at the Sundance Film Festival for the premiere of Rory Kennedy’s HBO documentary ‘Ethel,’ which is the story of her mother. Speaking of Caroline and Ethel in the Vogue interview, Swift said meeting them was the only time she’s ever been starstruck in her life.

“I got to spend the afternoon with Ethel a couple of weeks ago,” said Swift. “She is one of my favorites because you look back at the pictures of her and Bobby and they always look like they are having the most fun out of everybody. You know, eleven kids, all these exotic animals on their property. I’ve read a lot about them.”

The young singer will get to add more information to her bank of Kennedy knowledge this weekend, and perhaps she’ll even run elbows with more members of the Kennedy family — or the 83-year old icon herself. Ethel will be in attendance at the festival for the premiere of the film, and she will supposedly be bringing Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Kerry Kennedy and Kate Townsend along for the fun.
