We are now less than 2 months away from the 33rd annual Texas Blueberry Festival presented by Tipton Ford. The downtown Nacogdoches event will be held Saturday, June 10 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This free-entry, family-friendly event has entertained thousands each year with treats and eats, sights and sounds that are inspired by the blueberry.

“The Texas Blueberry Festival is a big blue mix of events. It offers exciting experiences that dazzle returning festival guests and first-timers, too,” said Chair Grace Handler. “My planning committee works year-round to make sure every festival is the best it can be, and this year’s blueberry fest will be a true blue blast!”

Many choose to start the festival day at the Blueberry Pancake Breakfast, and US Congressman Pete Sessions plans to join the Nacogdoches Kiwanis Club as a pancake flippin’ volunteer.

“Every year, I look forward to blueberries and other delicious treats that come with spring and summer,” said Congressman Sessions. “I am happy to take part in the Texas Blueberry Festival, a prominent event in the 17th Congressional District of Texas. The food and activities are an outstanding opportunity to have fun in the oldest town in Texas.”

Presenting sponsor Tipton Ford has secured a Bronco simulator for the day. The new attraction will be located near the intersection of E. Main St. and Mound St.

Tipton will also have a new entertainment stage located in front of the Charles Bright Visitor Center, 200 E. Main St. In that same area, festival attendees will find the traditional Blueberry Festival Ford F1 truck and the Nacogdoches County Chamber’s expanded Festival Information Center.

“If you enjoy unique experiences, festival food and activities that delight folks of all ages in a charming historic downtown setting, this festival is for you!” Handler said. “In addition to our festival events, we can enjoy a Blueberry Bluegrass Concert on Friday, June 9, and a Blueberry Brunch on Sunday, June 11, at Stone House Kitchen, making Nacogdoches the place to be on the second weekend of June.”
