Top 5 Ways Living In East Texas Is Like 'Bird Box'

Netflix's hit movie, "Bird Box" has been the only thing people seemed to talk about toward the end of 2018.

The flood of memes were really great, as people used pictures of a blindfolded Sandra Bullock to dodge charities or old friends from high school.

If you haven't seen the movie, that's fine. It's not for everyone and honestly it was too suspenseful with little pay off. That's neither here nor there. I'm here to list the ways East Texas lives like the plot of 'Bird Box.'

Answer The Door With A Shotgun
Early in the movie, when all the craziness begins, Ole Sandy Bullock's character makes her way to safety. From then on if any sound is heard, the movie cuts to someone readying a shotgun before opening the door.
That's standard practice 'round these parts.

When The Wind Blows
It's time to GO!
I'm not sure if you noticed, but whenever the evil entity started to come near the people in 'Bird Box,' the leaves would start to rustle and blow around.
Yeah, here in East Texas we are quick to shut things down if we get a bit cold. None of us know what actually qualifies as snow, but we just can't get our bodies used to it.
