Ladies, this post is for you. If you haven't already discovered it, you need to know that guys in East Texas are a different breed. Our minds don't work quite the same as guys from other places.

With that being said, there are certain things that we don't find as "endearing" as other guys might. This is where this list comes into play. These are things that you want to avoid if you're trying to catch the attention of an East Texas guy.

    Snapchat Filters

Whether you're using them for you social media profile pictures, or just sending them in texts, just stop. This includes the puppy dog faces, the bambi eyes, the cat ears, the flower crowns, ALL OF THEM.

    Anti-Hunting/Fishing Rhetoric

Here's one that is near and dear to most of us. We like to hunt. We like to fish. And we don't like to be told that it's barbaric, cruel, etc. If you're a little unsure, ask the guy you're going after to take you hunting. This will actually work in your favor.

    Anti-America Speech

We're pretty patriotic here in the Lone Star State, and East Texas is no different. We're big fans of the U.S.A. and that's not going to change. So, if you're planning on trying to come in with ideas of how "bad" America is, you probably need to head elsewhere...rather quickly.

    New England Patriots Apparel

Big no on this one. Brady, Gronkowski, Belichick, etc. Any of these will be automatic turn-offs. This also applies to Alabama Crimson Tide gear.

Trying To Convert Us To Vegetarianism

If you want to go without beef, chicken, pork, or any other meat, that's ok. We're not huge fans of this, but the biggest turn off would be trying to convert us over to it. Important rule: Don't mess with our steak.

    Anything Derogatory About Texas

And, the biggest turn off is...anything derogatory about Texas. It doesn't matter if it's a piece of clothing, a post on Facebook, or even just verbal. We won't hear a thing you say if it follows a put-down of Texas.
