Last night, the Houston Astros handed the Los Angeles Dodgers a loss on their home-turf during game two of the World Series, that tied the series at 1-1. However, there was another big story developing...

While so many people were wrapped up in what was going on with baseball, there were some of us that were busy watching basketball - namely, watching the San Antonio Spurs improve their early season record to 4-0.

The Spurs traveled to Florida to take on the Miami Heat for the first time this season. They handed the Heat a loss of 117-100, which would improve the Spur record to 4-0, and would bring the Heat to a 2-2 record.

What does this mean? Well, I think it means that it's probably time for a #EarlyMarkPrediction. Is it too early? Eh, perhaps. However, I'm going to make an early prediction that the San Antonio Spurs are going to win it all this year. This will be the year that they bring home the 6th NBA Title to San Antonio.

Why am I making a bold prediction this early? Well, let's look at it. They're one of two teams that still remain undefeated. Only two of the 32 teams in the entire league haven't lost a game. The Los Angeles Clippers are currently 3-0 this season, and the San Antonio Spurs are currently 4-0, as I mentioned earlier. And both of these teams are from the western conference! Talk about a powerful start to the 2017-18 season.

Also, the Spurs produced this awesome start with two of their dominant players having to sit the bench due to injuries. I'm talking about Kawhi Leonard and Tony Parker. Neither of these players has seen any playing time this season. We can only assume that the team will become even more dominant once they've recovered and made their way back into the San Antonio lineup.

Well, there you have it. There's the big news from Texas while you were busy watching the baseball game. Don't get me wrong, I love baseball. However, once basketball season starts, that's the sport that gets my preference and attention. If you prefer to watch baseball, don't worry, I can keep you updated on basketball if you'd like.
