You folks from Lufkin and Nacogdoches probably already know where this is going.

Today is Groundhog Day, and while the act of a rodent poking its head out to see the clouds has ZERO affect on the ever changing Texas weather, we at least know what it's like to relive the same day over and over again.

That's the plot of the 1993 comedy classic, 'Groundhog Day' starring Bill "Freaking" Murray. (That's not his real middle name). In the movie, Bill Murray plays a weather man having to relive the same day again and again while stuck in a small town full of strange characters. Sound familiar?

If you haven't seen the movie, stop what you're doing and find a way to watch it. It's a big deal. Anyway, here's why Lufkin and Nac are exactly like the plot of 'Groundhog Day.'

    Running Into 'Friends'

Hopefully, you don't have anyone from your past as annoying as 'Needle Nose' Ned, but it's pretty much inevitable to run into someone from either High School or a past job when you're just trying to pop into the store for a loaf of bread.

    Work Work Work

You might work in retail, or perhaps you have an office job, but it's the same routine day in and day out. This fact isn't exclusive to the Pineywoods, but if you've recently forgotten what day of the week it is, it's not because you're losing your memory ... It's because it doesn't really matter. (This article is getting dark.)

    The Weather

Okay, it's not snowing like in the movie, that's for sure. We can't really say the weather is a steady constant either. As weird as it is, for the most part, it always goes back to one set norm ... humid and hot.

If we do get snow, it's for five minutes. If there's rain, it's for a week or so. But 340 days out of the year ... humid and hot.
