Just over a year ago, what used to be a flower nursery on the corner of Mound Street and Hospital Street in downtown Nacogdoches was cleared, and new construction started on a building that would become a fantastic addition to the oldest town in Texas.

The business I'm referring to is the Fredonia Brewery, and yes, it has already been a year since they opened for business.

Since they opened, they have become quite the hangout in Nacogdoches on Saturdays from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM for their "Pints on the Patio" events, to their new "Trivia Nights" on Thursdays. And, they've even been seen around Nacogdoches for different events like SFA tailgating parties and Brewfest.

But, on March 3rd, they'll be doing it big once again, with a celebration for their first anniversary, right at the Brewery where it all began.

Starting at noon that Saturday (two hours earlier than usual) you can make your way downtown to enjoy the festivities. First off, they've created FIVE NEW BREWS in honor of this one year anniversary. That means that there will be 11 different types of beers in the Brewery that day. In addition to that, there will be two different food trucks - Brendyn's BBQ and Eat-A-Bite. Also, if you're not looking for a full meal - or if you're looking for desert AFTER your meal, the Kona Ice Truck will be on-hand with shaved ice treats.

But, that's not all. There will be live music throughout the event! You can enjoy music from Meredith Crawford, Jack Clark with Brian Landry, and The Haggertys.

There are no tickets required for the event, and there's something going on for everyone that day, so make plans to be at the Fredonia Brewery from noon to 10:00 PM on Saturday, March 3rd!
