According to a Lufkin Police report, a Livingston woman found a rather unique way of trying to catch a ride Sunday afternoon in Lufkin.

(**CAUTION**- Offensive language in video) With hunting season just a few weeks away, a lot of sportsmen and sportswomen are getting their equipment ready, this might include a trip out to the country to fire off a few rounds.

The Texas State Forest Festival gets kicked off Wednesday night with carnival rides, food, vendors, shows, and, of course, the KICKS 105 Pom Squad/Dance Team Championships.

A man shopping at the Home Depot in Lufkin took it upon himself to chase down a would be robber and to forcefully retrieve a stolen drill.  This is how the incident played out according to a Lufkin Police report:

There was a lot of dramatics at a youth baseball game at Morris Frank Park Thursday evening, unfortunately, much of that drama took place off the field and in the stands.

According to an overnight release by the Lufkin Police Department, their dispatchers took several dozen 30 calls regarding a "mass shooting threat" at Lufkin ISD today. Angelina County Sheriff's Office dispatchers have also received these calls.
