Country girl Kellie Pickler spends so much of her life working on behalf of others, we wonder how she finds time to record her albums and perform concerts for a living. That’s why she responded to a Marine’s request to contact the family of fallen soldier Sergeant Wade Wilson.

The singer was also able to rub elbows with some active duty Navy SEALS and express his gratitude for what they do day after day for our country.
We’ve all seen the heartwarming videos of soldiers stationed overseas surprising their children stateside with early returns home.
And that’s how this video of Capt. Cherissa Jackson, who had been deployed in Afghanistan, begins, with mom surprising her daughters Anita and Ashley at a Gaitherburg, Maryland Kentucky Fried Chicken. But then it gets even more touching.
Christmas may have come and gone but there is still magic to marvel at from this joyous holiday, like the magic that granted the wish of a little girl who only wanted her soldier father back for the holidays.
As we mark the remembrance of this, the 70th anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor, there are images that stay with us, such as the vision of the USS Arizona engulfed in flames.
There are words as well, such as 'A day that will live in infamy'.
However, how close were we to never hearing those words?
