On Saturday, February 17th, Championship Bull Riding will be rolling into Lufkin for the CBR Big Tex Agriplex Bull Bash.  Some of the top riders and bulls in the world will be featured at the George H Henderson Jr. Expo Center located on the North Loop 287. 

The top five bull riders in the CBR World Standings will be competing for the coveted prize of CBR Bull Bash Champion.  The event will be filmed for television as part of the CBR Road to Cheyenne Series which will begin prime time airings in late May leading up to the World Championship at Cheyenne Frontier Days July 23rd and 24th 2018.

New Chairman and CEO Wes Bruce stated, “ We are excited about returning to Lufkin  which has been a fan favorite stop on our tour for many years. The crowd is always electric and many of the top rides in CBR history have taken place in that building.”

Cody Jesus of Window Rock, Arizona leads the standings earning eight 90 point rides so far this season and isn’t willing to let his comrades catch up. The 2017 National High School Finals Rodeo Champion, Trey Holston of Fort Scott, Kansas trails Jesus by only 193.5 points, with 2017 PRCA Rookie of the Year Boudreaux Campbell from Crockett TX, Eli Vastbinder of Statesville, North Carolina and Louisianan Koby Radley not far behind..

Doors open at 6:30pm and the event kicks off at 8 pm with an action packed, two-hour performance featuring the best bulls and riders - including 3 time CBR World Champion and 4 time PRCA World Champion, Sage Kimzey who is scheduled to participate.

Tickets are available at Cavenders in Lufkin or online.  Ticket prices are as follows: Premium Reserved: $55.00, Reserved: $35.00, General Admission: $25.00, Children (3 to 10 yrs): $15.00, Children 2 years and under are free in General Admission seating only.

Following the bull riding, Shotgun Rider will perform live on the arena floor.

Prior to the Bull Bash, stop by KICKS 105 live broadcasts at Big Tex AgriPlex from 11am-1pm and Cavender’s Boot City from 2pm-4pm Saturday the 17th for meet and greets and shopping. Fans can also earn a chance for free tickets and store merchandise!
