Danny’s 50 by 50 Journal – Day 7
A week ago I made the pledge on my 49th birthday to lose 50 pounds by the time I turned 50 years old. I weighed in at 235 pounds and I won't weigh myself again until September 7th. Right now I'm focusing on willpower.
The picture above may not look like much, but it's part of the path that I've been walking/jogging every evening since my birthday. I know that if I'm going to be successful for both of my goals, I've got to lay down a good foundation. By the way, my second goal is to maintain my weight and health once I reach my first goal.
So far, so good. I've cut down drastically on my soda intake and have replaced that with water. And I run and walk 2 miles every evening. I will get faster and I will increase that distance, but for now, I just want to establish the routine and make it a top priority.
