East Texas Weather Update – Heavy Rain in Parts of the Pineywoods

The heat will certainly continue today with temperatures once again rising to the mid to upper 90's, however, the chance of rain has been bumped up to a 30% chance.  In fact, spotty, heavy showers have already moved into some parts of Deep East Texas. 

As of 9:30 this morning,  a line of showers and thundershowers have moved into Shelby and Northern San Augustine and Sabine counties.  This line is moving towards the South-southwest, so it looks like places like Hemphill and San Augustine and Eastern Angelina County would have the best chance to get some rain from this system.
