Baby New Year might want to have an umbrella handy.

The forecast is calling for a soggy end to 2012...in fact, some flooding could be possible across the area tonight.  Forecasters are expecting common reports of 1-2 inches of rain this evening and overnight, however isolated areas of 3-4 inches are possible, especially to the North and East of the Lufkin/Nacogdoches area.

Because of recent rains, minor flooding could also be an issue.  These rains may cause some frustration among fireworks enthusiasts, but then again, roman candles, sparklers, and sunburst fireworks probably look pretty cool in the rain.
