December 19th, 2012, it was nothing more than a trip to the mall to get some last minute Christmas shopping done.  Within 24 hours, 8-year-old Sadie Coogler would be in surgery in Houston as a doctor removed one of several cancerous tumors in her brain.

While at the mall, Sadie began to have trouble getting her left leg to work and that's when her mom knew something wasn't right.  You can read more of Sadie's story here, but let's flash forward.

Sadie is now a patient of St Jude Children's Research Hospital receiving experimental treatment for Stage IV Glioblastoma Multiforme.  She lives in Magnolia, Texas, but spends many days in Lufkin with her dad and extended family here.  The cancer is aggressive and tough to treat, but through the work and research at St. Jude and the prayers and support of an ever-growing community, progress is being made.

Sadie is courageous with a beautiful smile.  She is a 100% head-strong red-head who is battling, but just like thousands of other kids who are battling cancer, she needs your help.  She wants to be well again.  Her dad, James Coogler, wants to be able to have a positive and certain answer when his daughter asks "Dad, when is God going to let me be okay again?"

The KICKS 105 St Jude Radiothon sponsored by Texas State Bank takes place Thursday and Friday from 6am - 7pm both days.  The goal is simple - raise money to help kids beat cancer.  All the kids are asking from you is just $20 a month.
