A huge heartfelt thank you is in order for everyone who became a Partner in Hope in last week's KICKS 105 St Jude Radiothon sponsored by Texas State Bank. East Texans, and even quite a few from out of state, searched their conscience and pledged their support to help kids beat cancer.
December 19th, 2012, it was nothing more than a trip to the mall to get some last minute Christmas shopping done. Within 24 hours, 8-year-old Sadie Coogler would be in surgery in Houston as a doctor removed one of several cancerous tumors in her brain.
Tomorrow, we kick off our 15th annual KICKS 105 St. Jude Radiothon to help kids beat cancer.
Over the past few years, Sean and I have done some pretty crazy things to celebrate reaching our overall money goal, such as, waxing our backs and legs, shaving our heads, and running, jogging, moseying fast to Huntington.

I have visited this hospital several times and I can truly say that you can feel the Hand of God at work there. It truly is someplace special as the main goal of the hospital is find cures for catastrophic childhood diseases, most notably cancer. These treatments are then shared freely with all hospitals, clinics, and doctors across the nation and the world.
Despite an over 90% cure rate for the most common form of childhood cancer, kids are still dying. We lost one of our great friends over the past year.
