The Memorial Day Holiday Weekend is upon us. First and foremost, this is a time to remember and salute those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom and liberty. It's also a 3-day weekend and that tends to mean cookouts, traveling, good times...and drinking alcoholic beverages.
Today, May 7th, is designated as the National Day of Prayer. Certainly, everyday should be a day of prayer as it is for so many across the world. But, still, it's encouraging and refreshing to see many individuals, communities, and organizations putting together prayer events for the day.
Last Thursday, I received quite a surprise compliments of singer Jason Cassidy. You see, it was my 21st wedding anniversary and Cassidy, who was scheduled to come in for an on-air interview, decided to dedicate a live performance of one of his new songs to me and my wife.
