Sharon Kruk will be taking over the reins of The Coalition upon the retirement of the current Executive Director, Janet Taylor.   Sharon has a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Texas A&M University and a Masters of Education from University of Houston at Victoria. 

Sharon has been employed at The Coalition for the past two years, coordinating the Tobacco Prevention & Control Coalition for Angelina and Nacogdoches counties.

She and her husband Brian have two children, Kellen and Kaylie.  Brian is a teacher and coach at Pineywoods Community Academy.  Kellen attends Pineywoods Community Academy and Kaylie attends Lufkin Middle School.  Sharon is involved with the Junior League of Lufkin, CISC, Impact Lufkin, and Carpenter’s Way Church.

The Coalition Board of Directors is excited about Sharon moving into the Executive Director’s position.  She has exceptional skills in managing multiple tasks, is a proven leader, has excellent grant writing skills, and is a passionate advocate for the under-served and under-represented populations.  Sharon will be an asset to The Coalition, Inc. as it serves the Angelina County community.
