Severe Weather Possible in Portions of East Texas This Evening

A cold front is moving through the Pineywoods this afternoon and there is a slight chance of a shower in the immediate Lufkin/Nacogdoches area, however, as you head south, the chance increases, in fact, severe storms are possible this evening. 

The National Weather service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch until 9 this evening for much of South Central and Southeastern Texas.  This includes Tyler, Jasper, Polk, San Jacinto, Walker, and Newton counties.  Storms with possible hail, high winds, and heavy rain could be scattered in these areas.
