The Texas Renaissance Festival...one of my favorite destinations every Fall.  From Ded Bob to jousting to the wandering minstrels, I absolutely love the atmosphere.  I have often wondered how someone becomes one of the characters or performing acts at the Ren Fest.

Raise your goblets and make way for the king and queen, the 40th anniversary of the Texas Renaissance Festival gets underway this weekend.

The nation's largest and most acclaimed Renaissance fair is into its 38th year.  The Texas Renaissance Festival, located east of Conroe (officially located at Todd Mission, TX) continues weekends through November 25th.
