Here Are Over 80 Photos From the 2025 Big Bass Splash on Sam Rayburn Lake
Nearly 3100 anglers competed in the 41st Sealy Outdoors Big Bass Splash on Lake Sam Rayburn. $590,000 in cash and prizes was given away.
There were plenty of big winners and near misses. We were able to capture a few of those on video.
For instance, here's when Matthew Williams weighed in a double-digit bass that took over the lead of the tourney. He would end up finishing 3rd overall for the Big Bass Splash.
How about the excitement of watching the scale lock in on an exact weight fish? Shane Landry of Thibodeaux, Louisiana, had a hilarious reaction the moment he realized that his fish had earned him $5,000.
Bradley LeBlanc of Reserve, Louisiana, was a little more low-key when his bass locked in at 3.00 for $5,000. He had weighed a fish the previous day and he knew his scale was .07 pounds off the official scale.
So, when he brought in a fish that weighed 3.07 on his scale, he was downright confident that he had money in the bank...and he did.
Then, there was the most heartbreaking moment of the tourney when a fisherman had to withdraw a 10.90-pound bass due to an oversight of not having a fire extinguisher in the boat, which is mandatory in this tourney.
