The 2026 Big Bass Splash on Lake Sam Rayburn was a record setter. Glen Stone of Marshall caught the largest bass in the 42-year history of the Big Bass Splash on Lake Sam Rayburn. His 12.81 bass earned him a new Ram truck and Phoenix 921 Elite bass boat powered by a Mercury engine and fully equipped with Minn Kota, Humminbird, and Powerpole accessories. In addition to his hourly winnings, Glen was also rewarded with a $10,000 check.

I didn't see any mention of this, but this also had to be the largest overall top 5 in Big Bass Splash History. Every fish in the top five was a double-digit fish except for Clint Wade's 5th-place bass, which tipped the scales at 9.99 pounds. We're talking about a dream-team stringer of about 55 pounds.

The Big Bass Splash on Toledo Bend is Coming Up

May 15, 16, and 17 are the dates for the upcoming Big Bass Splash on Lake Toledo Bend. This year's tournament features $550,000 in guaranteed cash and prizes. That includes a grand prize of a new Phoenix bass boat, a Dodge Ram truck, and $5,000 cash. The top 15 heaviest bass will be paid out every hour, which includes a $2500 check for the top bass of the hour. The contestant(s) who weigh in the first 3.00/4.00/5.00 exact weight bass each day of the tournament will be awarded $5,000 at the Sunday Awards Ceremony.
