As the landscape of collegiate athletics continues to change, so do the processes for recruiting. The road from high school to college is becoming harder to navigate for nearly every young athlete.

For that reason, the Angelina College basketball coaching staff has created a showcase for incoming high school seniors.

AC Basketball will host an invitation-only Summer Showcase from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Friday, August 2 at Shands Gymnasium on the Angelina College campus.

The focus is to provide student-athletes graduating with the class of 2025 the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of college coaches (from various levels) before starting their senior seasons while introducing those players to the Angelina College campus and staff. In addition, the showcase will allow the Angelina College staff to continue building relationships with schools and coaching teams.

Most importantly for the young players, the coaches will share their expertise and expectations on recruiting.

The AC staff will record games and provide participants with a link to aid in their recruitment processes as part of the effort to increase players’ exposure to the different paths involved with playing college basketball.

The cost to participate in this showcase is $50 per athlete.
