Rain Forces Lufkin’s Bistro 2026 To Reschedule For November 7

Lufkin's Bistro 2026 has been postponed due to the rainy forecast for this weekend. Officials with Visit Lufkin made an online announcement early Wednesday afternoon that the rescheduled date will be Saturday, November 7. All previously purchased tickets and reserved tables will be honored. Ticket holders do not need to purchase new tickets or take any immediate action.

Because Bistro is an outdoor downtown event that requires multiple days of setup, coordination, equipment placement, restaurant preparation, sponsor logistics, volunteer planning, and street-level event operations, this decision allows the organizers to move forward with the polished and enjoyable evening guests expect from Bistro.

This Weekend's Weather Outlook

The remnants of Hurricane Polo, along with an approaching frontal boundary, are bringing heightened rain chances for much of Texas from Wednesday through Sunday. For Lufkin, the chance of rain for Thursday is 40%, but that will rise to nearly 80% for Friday and Saturday, before decreasing to 20% by Sunday evening. Since this is not expected to be a 'one and done' rain event, the prudent decision to move the Bistro was made.

Even though this puts a hitch in the plans of everyone involved or attending Lufkin's Bistro, it's hard to be overly frustrated since much of this area is facing drought and fire hazard conditions, and this will be a welcome relief of not only rain, but also cooler temperatures.

Will Everything Remain The Same For November 7?

The time (6 pm - 10 pm) and location (Downtown Lufkin) will remain the same for the rescheduled date. 11 area eateries were scheduled to serve up delicious bites at the Bistro, plus People's Choice from Austin was to provide the live music.
