Angelina College To Hold ‘ID Camp’ for Future Soccer Players
The Angelina College men’s soccer program, consistently ranked among the top junior college programs in the nation the past couple of years, is looking to continue its recent successes on the pitch after back-to-back appearances in the National Junior College Athletic Associations's (NJCAA) Division I National Tournament, and the team is looking for some new Roadrunners to help continue the charge.
The Roadrunners will host an “ID Camp” on Saturday, June 8 at the Larry Phillips Family Sports Complex on the AC campus. The session, scheduled to run from 9 a.m. until noon, includes a tour of the Angelina College campus.
The camp is geared toward providing high school students and college transfers the opportunity to train and experience skills evaluation from college coaches while learning more about the recruiting process.
Numerous East Texas school districts and select teams have developed outstanding soccer players over the years, and this 'ID' event is the perfect place to showcase those soccer skills.
The cost of the session is $50 for online registration (if registered before May 31), and $75 afterward. Attendees are asked to bring their own water bottles, soccer balls, shin guards and soccer cleats.
The camps’ schedule, registration and payment information are available online at this link. The Angelina College soccer program has quickly become one of the premier junior college soccer programs in the South, with many players moving on to play for Division I schools across the country.
