Here Are 10 Double-Digit Bass Caught So Far in March
East Texas is known for its numerous lakes that produce trophy largemouth bass. Many of those lakes have not disappointed anglers so far in 2025.
Lake Fork, Sam Rayburn Reservoir, and Lake Toledo Bend are considered the top three lakes in East Texas when it comes to bass fishing, but several others commonly produce bass that weigh into the double digits.
Texas Parks and Wildlife's ShareLunker Program
The ShareLunker program, operated by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, allows anglers to register and promote bass that weigh 8 pounds or more. Bass weighing more than 13 pounds are placed in the Legends category.
Currently, the ShareLunker website lists 8+ pound bass that have been caught and registered through March 18. We have listed in the gallery below almost every bass above 10 pounds that have been caught on East Texas area lakes.
Those lakes include Sam Rayburn, Lake Fork, Toledo Bend, Kurth Lake, Lake Athens, and Lake Murvaul.
One fisherman who caught a double-digit bass is a member of the Hemphill Hornet Bass Club.
