Billy Ray Cyrus Helps Miley Through Emotional ‘Amazing Grace’ at Janice Freeman’s Funeral [Watch]
Cyrus' father, Billy Ray Cyrus, came to his daughter's rescue to help her through paying her respects to Freeman — a woman from the pop star's Voice team who touched many. Together, through Miley's tears, they performed "Amazing Grace" at a Celebration of Life memorial service held at Mariners Church in Irvine, Calif.
"Before we sing this song for Janice, I just want to clear up a rumor — I was never her coach, ever. She was always mine," Miley joked, speaking of how honored she was to know Freeman.

"I learned more from her than anyone that I've gotten the honor to be in the room with, not just vocally," she continued. "I should have gotten more lessons than I did but she taught me everything that I know about love."
Miley Cyrus and Freeman were like family after Season 13 of The Voice ended.
"I had planned on singing a song for her, but just losing her is just too much for me. So my dad's gonna take care of this for me. But, I'll always be your sister, I'm here for you, and I'm here for your family, and Janice I'll miss you more than I could ever say," Miley told the crowd.
Billy Ray led the way through "Amazing Grace" on guitar. By the second chorus, he had everyone, including Miley, singing along through tears.
Freeman died from a blood clot in her lungs on March 2 while battling pneumonia.
