Blake Shelton + Adam Levine’s Bromance Deserves a Proper Send-Off
Blake Shelton and Adam Levine go together like powder on a donut, so when the pop-rocker announced he was leaving The Voice, his country friend was understandably heartbroken. This video tribute to their bromance may help.
Taste of Country remembers the good times during this in memoriam to yin and yang friendship that truly defined the NBC reality series for 16 seasons. Levine's departure leaves a major hole in the hearts of longtime viewers. This duo's banter and affection for one another was arguably the No. 1 reason to tune in to The Voice.
Sure, we could focus on the negative, like when Levine dumped manure on Shelton's truck as retaliation for tweeting out his phone number, but instead we chose to focus on their chemistry, awkward hugs and cheek kisses.
"Having a hard time wrapping my head around @AdamLevine not being on @NBCTheVoice anymore," Shelton wrote on Twitter. "After 16 seasons that changed both of our lives. I only found out about this yesterday and it hasn't set in on me yet. Gonna miss working with that idiot."
Gwen Stefani will fill Levine's red chair for Season 17, and while she and Shelton are in a real romance, it's not the same. Enjoy this video montage from the show and social media. Season 17 of The Voice will begin in September.
