Even though Texas doesn't get as cold as most other places, the cold can be devastating to those in need. We really don't see the worst of it until January and February, but the folks at the Air Force recruitment center in Nacogdoches are collecting blankets for those in need.

You'll have a little over a week to get your blankets to the spot in time for the donations to get to the people who need them.
