Kane Brown is one of country music's most up-and-coming young artists, but he's crossing over to pop for a new collaboration with pop superstar Camila Cabello. Brown lent his voice to her new re-working of her hit song, "Never Be the Same."

Cabello released her solo version of the song as the second single from her debut album, and it's been a hit around the world. She announced via Twitter on Thursday (April 26) that she had enlisted Brown for a new version of the song that "tells a different story now."

The new rendition of the track doesn't stray too far from the original, but Brown's voice definitely lends it a different texture. He takes the second verse of "Never Be the Same," and from there, he provides lower harmonies to offset Cabello's lead vocal, changing the vocal textures of the track considerably.

6 Forgettable Country Crossovers

"I love this so much @kanebrown," Cabello writes. "Always imagined another version of this song sounding like this."

Brown is flying high with his latest solo, "Heaven" and he caused a huge stir with his ACM Awards collaboration with Lauren Alaina on "What Ifs." He also scored three Billboard Music Awards nominations.
