October 26th, 2019 was a disappointing day for thousands of Cody Jinks fans in East Texas. Jinks' concert that was scheduled for that night at the Nacogdoches County Expo Center was canceled just a few hours before gates opened due to a threat of violence made against the venue.

The Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office says they were notified of the threat the morning of the concert. After assessing it, they deemed that the threat was credible and for everyone's safety the concert was postponed.

The show has been rescheduled for Saturday, January 25th, 2020. All original tickets will be honored for the show, or if need be you can get a refund.

As far as the threat goes, no specifics have been released but Saving Country Music is reporting that the Sheriff's Office does have a person of interest they’re investigating in the case. “We have identified a person that we do believe made the phone call,” Nacogdoches Country Sheriff Jason Bridges told SCM. “We’ve made a lot of good progress on it. We have a person of interest and are working hard on this investigation diligently.”
