The National Honor Society is presenting a "Sunday Night Football" special with proceeds benefiting two local teachers battling cancer.

Jimmy Lofton and Kim Teer are two beloved teachers in Huntington, and are both fighting cancer. Their students have chosen to rally the community to not only enjoy a Sunday night football game at Huntington High School football field, but also to help raise money to assist with their teachers' expenses that their insurance is not covering.

This event asks that everyone rally for everyone affected by cancer.

A devotional of encouragement, and prayer will be conducted at the football game, and students are hoping many will come out and be supportive.

The "Sunday Night Football," or Powderpuff Football featuring the Senior girls versus the Junior girls match will be on Sunday, October 16th, 2016 and starts at 5:30 PM.

There will be a halftime performance, cheerleaders, and Huntington High School band performance. Come out, enjoy the game, and support these local educators in their battle with cancer.
