There have been quite a few sold-out shows in Deep East Texas over the past year or so.  Robert Earl Keen, Crystal Gayle, Cody Johnson, and John Conlee, just to name a few.  Thankfully, one of those artists is coming back for another show.

Last September, country music legend John Conlee played a sold-out show at The Pines Theater in downtown Lufkin. Sunday, August 14, he's coming back to Lufkin for a matinee show at the Pitser Garrison Convention Center. The concert gets underway at 3 p.m. and tickets are already on sale.

Gold section tickets are $54.08 each, which includes ticket and processing fees.  Silver section tickets are $41.08 each, once again including ticket and processing fees. Ticket prices will increase by $10 on the day of the show, so be sure you get yours early.  KICKS 105 will also have chances to win tickets to the concert.

'Rose Colored Glasses' is considered by many to be one of the top 50 country songs of all time, but the list of chart-topping songs doesn't end there for John Conlee. The Kentucky-native reeled off classics in the 70s and 80s, such as 'Backside of Thirty', 'Common Man', 'Friday Night Blues', 'As Long As I'm Rockin With You', 'Old School', and many, many others.

The performance is being billed as an "intimate concert with John Conlee". Not only will you get to hear some of these all-time classics, but Conlee will also share the stories behind many of these songs. You may want to bring a birthday card since he will be celebrating his 76th birthday on August 11.

Remember, he sold out the last venue he played in Lufkin, so don't wait too long to purchase your tickets.
