According to a post on Angelina County Sheriff Greg Sanches' Facebook Page, here is a rundown of the events involving the manhunt and eventual capture of Nathon Lamar:

On November 20th, at approximately 7:40 AM, deputies responded to the area of FM 2021, where a stolen vehicle had crashed and the driver (later identified as Nathon Dakota Lamar) had fled the scene prior to officers arrival.

At approximately 11:25 AM, ACSO Deputies , Investigators, Lufkin PD, and Sheriff Greg Sanches responded to a vehicle burglary in progress where the actor (believed to be Lamar) was fleeing the scene and was possibly armed with a handgun. Upon arrival officers set a perimeter in an attempt to take the suspect into custody. While Deputies and Investigators were setting the perimeter other Deputies, Investigators, Sheriff Sanches, and Lufkin PD Chief Thomas arrived at Lamar’s residence where Lamar arrived and an exchange of gunfire took place. During the gunfire Lamar evaded officers in a wooded area behind the home which led to a manhunt that lasted approximately nine hours.

At approximately 6:00 PM, a homeowner arrived home from work to find somebody had entered his residence which was located near where Lamar was last seen. Lufkin PD SWAT arrived at the residence and cleared the home. While clearing the residence Lufkin SWAT found Lamar hiding in the attic of the home.

Lamar has been charged with 5 Counts of Aggravated Assault on a Public Servant and Burglary of a Habitation. Lamar faces pending charges of Deadly Conduct and multiple counts of Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and or Theft that are still under investigation.
