Georgia-Pacific Spreads Holiday Cheer To Local Seniors
In the spirit of the holiday season, employees from Georgia-Pacific’s Diboll Lumber and Diboll Particleboard facilities are helping to spread holiday cheer by volunteering at Diboll’s annual Senior Citizen Holiday Luncheon.
Georgia-Pacific employees, along with other community volunteers, helped serve a traditional Christmas lunch complete with all the holiday favorites to approximate 200 area senior citizens. In addition to the meal, guests enjoyed seasonal music, holiday gifts, and the opportunity to reminisce and catch up with both old and new friends.

“Supporting our community is at the heart of who we are,” said Yana Ogletree, Georgia-Pacific’s Public & Government Affairs Manager-Texas. “Our employees always look forward to this Christmas luncheon to connect with senior neighbors and bring a little extra joy to their holiday season.”
Earlier this year, Georgia-Pacific employees also participated in the organization's annual fish fry, a summer tradition that brings together senior residents for food, fun, and community spirit. Both events reflect Georgia-Pacific’s commitment to supporting and strengthening the communities where its employees live and work.
“The holiday meal and the summer fish fry are more than just events—they are opportunities to connect with and make a positive impact on the people around us,” said Ogletree. “We are proud to continue our tradition of service and look forward to more opportunities to give back.”
