COVID-19 has taken a toll on events this year. We even saw the cancellation of the Texas Blueberry Festival in June. However, there's an event planned for Downtown Nacogdoches to get everyone in the Christmas spirit.

On Friday, November 20th and Saturday, November 21st, Downtown Nacogdoches will be holding an event called the Merry Christmas Market. There will be vendors set up, and the store owners will have their shops open. There will also be food trucks serving their delicacies. There's even supposed to be some Christmas caroling taking place (I don't have the exact details, but hey, it's Christmas music, so I'm down).

The times for the market are below:

  • Friday, November 20th: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM
  • Saturday, November 21st: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM

In the midst of COVID-19, and the things that we've seen get cancelled, postponed, etc., I'm pretty excited to see this come to the brick streets of Nacogdoches. I think I can speak for us all when I say that we're ready to see things get back to normal. I know that I am, at least.

I think that this is a good chance to get a bit of normal back into Nacogdoches.

So, go ahead and put a calendar reminder down for Merry Christmas Market. You have two days to choose from. Or, even better, make plans to go BOTH days! Get some Christmas shopping done, get some local food, and enjoy a bit of Christmas spirit in Downtown Nacogdoches!
