On Tuesday, June 12th, an East Texas woman was booked into the Gregg County Jail in Longview and charged with sexual performance by a child under the age of 14, with the intent of employing, directing or promoting. Bond was set at $200,000.

According to a report from KETK, the arrest warrant alleges that in December 2017, Carrie Kelly of Lone Oak, Texas had tried to arrange for a meeting in Longview with a man from Nebraska.  The purpose of this meeting was to allegedly allow the man to have sexual relations with an 8-year-old girl in exchange for $100.

The man contacted police in Wayne, Nebraska who subsequently contact the Longview Police Department and alerted them to the possible sex trafficking incident.  Longview Police, along with other members of Gregg County law enforcement and Child Protective Services started and assisted with the investigation which ultimately led to Kelly's arrest.
