Two Texas Children Abducted Monday Morning, Amber Alert Issued

An Amber Alert has been issued for a pair of children from the Wilmer, Texas area, near Dallas.

The Wilmer Police Department is searching for Jazlyn Mendez. She is described as a 9-year-old Hispanic female. She is feet tall and weighs approximately 100 pounds. Jazlyn has brown hair and brown eyes.

Wilmer Police are also searching for Jionny Mendez, a 5-year-old Hispanic male. He is 3 feet tall and weighs around 60 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

It's not known what clothing each child is wearing.

Police are also trying to locate a person they believe is involved in the children's abduction. Jaquelyn Hernandez is a 26-year-old Hispanic female. She is five feet, four inches tall and weighs 193 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes. It is not known what clothing she may be wearing.

The suspect is driving a gray 2013 Dodge Challenger with a chrome gas cover. The vehicle's license plate number is TGF1548.

According to a report, the children were last seen in the 5900 block of South IH-45 at about 9 a.m. on Monday, February 26.

Law enforcement officials believe these children to be in grave or immediate danger. Anyone having information regarding this abduction is asked to call the Wilmer Police Department at 972-441-6565.
