GoPro Camera Falls into Rattlesnake Pit [WATCH]

There are quite a few questions that popped into my mind while watching this video of a rattlesnake pit taken by way of a GoPro.

What type of device did the man use to secure the GoPro while filming?
How close did the man have to get to the snakes in order to film?
How much does a GoPro cost? (because there's no way I would ever retrieve it after it fell in with the snakes)
Just how crazy are this guy and gal?
Where is the liquor cabinet, because I need a drink after watching this.
